Tasting Notes

A truly superb example of a Loire Valley Chenin Blanc. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels and aged further for 6 months on its fine lees in large oak vats. A vibrant, dry expression of Chenin Blanc that displays captivating aromas of pear and citrus blossom. The palate is ripe and juicy with an intense pure crystalline finish. 

Savennières’ shallow soils are comprised of well-drained sandstone schist, volcanic rock (rhyolite) and aeolian sand, which allow for excellent drainage, slight cluster dehydration and  resulting concentrated fruit flavors in the trademark Chenin Blanc.

Pair with white meats and Asian cuisine.
